Paulo B. Lourenço, Full Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, co-director of the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering (ISISE), has been awarded a 3M€ grant from the European Research Council (ERC). He will develop, over the next 5 years, an innovative approach to evaluating the security of built heritage with cultural value when subject to earthquakes.
