Transportation Geotechnics receives its first Journal Impact Factor

Elsevier’s international journal “Transportation Geotechnics”, the 1st with a Portuguese Editor in Chief (Prof. António Gomes Correia) in the Civil Engineering category ranking receives its first Journal Impact Factor of 2.385 by Clarivate Analytics. It also occupies the Top 20 in the SCOPUS Geotechnical Engineering and Geology ranking.

Transportation Geotechnics, launched in 2015, aims to publish high quality, theoretical and applied papers on all aspects of geotechnics for roads, highways, railways, airfields and waterways.

Professor António Gomes Correia is a Full Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Minho and the Director of the Steering Committee of the Doctoral Programme in Civil Engineering.

The Doctoral Programme in Civil Engineering has now, on its faculty, two Editors in Chief from two high ranked international journals: Full Professor António Gomes Correia, Editor of “Transportation Geotechnics”, and Full Professor Paulo B. Lourenço, Editor of the “International Journal of Architectural Heritage”.
